New Delhi, June 6 -- Chennai is set to unveil a "comprehensive mobility plan" (CMP), a 25-year roadmap designed to shape its urban transportation landscape. Expected to launch this year, the CMP will guide policymakers in tackling critical issues like insufficient public transportation as well as escalating traffic congestion, and air pollution.
This transportation master plan is being prepared by the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA), a nodal agency established by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
