New Delhi, June 2 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued light to moderate rainfall over most places in Northeast India over the next seven days, with isolated heavy to very heavy falls likely on June 2 and 3 and isolated heavy rainfall on June 4 and 5. Localised flash floods are a possibility in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Manipur.
In northwest India, rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kilometres per hour) is expected over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan till June 4.
