A heat wave is likely this weekend over parts of eastern and Northeast India, according to the bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on May 10 and 11; in Gangetic West Bengal during May 8-13; Odisha during May 9-13 and Bihar and Jharkhand during May 10-13.
"Hot & humid weather is likely to prevail over Odisha on 08th; Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe on 08th May," the bulletin added.
