India, Feb. 12 -- Prof. Sadagopan was recognized for his services in developing IIIT-B into a world class institution, along with his role in developing other institutions, his extensive impact on academia, research in diverse fields along with the impact of his academic books.

He was Founder Director of IIIT-Bangalore in 1999; he guided the establishment of IIIT-Naya Raipur, IIIT-Dharwad and MIIT in Myanmar. He was a visiting faculty at prestigious institutes like MIT, Stanford, Rutgers University, etc.
