India, Nov. 11 -- Microchip Technology has expanded its India footprint with the acquisition of 1.72 lakh square feet (16,000 square meters) of premium office space at the Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) Zone in Whitefield, Bengaluru.

This move highlights the company's continued focus on strengthening its engineering and design capabilities in the region.

The facility will serve as a strategic extension of Microchip's Bengaluru Development Center that can easily accommodate over 3,000 employees in the next 10 years.
