India, Feb. 12 -- Ashwini Vaishnaw was recognized for his push to self-reliance in hard-to-compete industries like mobiles, scaling and accelerating India's semiconductor rise, pushing future-ready regulations like Digital India Act and Digital Personal Data Protection Act along with India's efforts in taking global AI leadership.

Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Co-Chair of the AI Action Summit in Paris. India will host the next summit. Earlier Vaishnaw had announced that India would launch its own LLM model within 10 months. The India AI Compute Facility has procured more than 18,000 GPUs for that.
