New Delhi, Feb. 2 -- Recent regional reports from 2025 describe multi- million-euro investments in facilities at Etain to host NH90 Caiman helicopters and related infrastructure - a clear sign that the regiment's fleet is being modernised and that Gazelle's role is gradually being reshaped or phased out as capabilities are replaced. In short, Gazelles remain part of Etain's heritage and training, but the regiment is being prepared to operate more modern rotorcraft.
