New Delhi, Oct. 31 -- In an historical moment, the Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) embarked on its most ambitious trans-Atlantic deployment to date and successfully completed the first fighter aircraft deployment to Europe on the 18 September 2025. The deployment represents one of JASDF's most comprehensive overseas missions, combining multiple aircraft types and wings in a single operation spanning three weeks and four nations. In its 71 year history, no fighter aircraft had ever made the roughly 6000 miles journey.
