Srilanka, Dec. 7 -- The construction industry, a pivotal cog in the economy, will have a larger role to play in the post-disaster recovery of the country which is said to be an uphill task according to the construction industry chamber and industry experts.
Secretary General of the Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka Nissanka Wijeratne said, "There will be a major requirement for reconstruction across the country, but the question is how will the Government handle that and what priority will be given for reconstruction."
