Singapore, Dec. 5 -- Film composer Teo Wei Yong scored his biggest accolade to date when he won for Best Original Film Score at the recent 56th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, for his work on Singapore film A Land Imagined.

The 35-year-old, however, is pragmatic about the acknowledgement.

"Awards are nice, but more jobs are better," the Singaporean tells The Straits Times in a recent interview.

"As much as I really appreciate the award, I hope the win will bring in more jobs and more income. It's such a small market in Singapore and I am hoping to get more international work."
