India, Feb. 19 -- This registration follows the recommendations of the Breed Registration Committee (BRC) of ICAR
The ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources in Karnal has officially registered ten new indigenous breeds. These include the Manah buffalo from Assam, the Gaddi dog from Himachal Pradesh, the Tripureswari duck from Tripura, the Chaugarkha goat from Uttarakhand, the Bundelkhandi goat from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the Karkambi pig from Maharashtra, the Kheri sheep from Rajasthan, the Changkhi dog, the Ladakhi donkey, and the Ladakhi yak from Ladakh (Union Territory).
