Strengthening India's rice exports and empowering North-Eastern farmers, APEDA has facilitated an MoU between Shree Gajanan Industries, Nizamabad and Chakhao Poireiton Organic Producer Company, Imphal. The signing took place during the Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) in New Delhi.
Supported by the Manipur Department of Agriculture, the collaboration enables a trial export of 20 metric tonnes of GI-tagged Chakhao white rice to Japan in November-December 2025.
