New Delhi, Sept. 20 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday stated that efforts are underway to bring back the mortal remains of singer Zubeen Garg from Singapore to New Delhi by Saturday evening, and subsequently to Guwahati the same night.
Popular singer from Assam Zubeen Garg, best known for his 'Ya Ali' song, died in Singapore on Friday, while "swimming in the sea without a life jacket".
In a post on X, the Chief Minister Sarma said, "Singaporean authorities have confirmed that a post-mortem of our beloved Zubeen Garg will be conducted. We expect this to conclude by 2 PM SGT.
