New Delhi, April 12 -- Meta-owned social media giant WhatsApp was down for thousands of users globally on Saturday evening, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.
In India, United States and other parts of the world, users indicated problem with the app and sending messages.
Users also faced issues while logging-in into the messaging service of the WhatsApp application.
According to Downdetector, over 87 per cent people reported issues in sending messages, while 11 per cent people faced issues with the app.
Several users also took to social media platforms to share screenshots of messages not being delivered.
