New Delhi, June 26 -- A bus with 18 people on board plunged into the Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand today. At least one person has died, and seven others injured, as per reports.

One person dead, seven injured after an 18-seater bus falls into the Alaknanda river in Gholthir of Rudraprayag district. Teamsof SDRF, Police and Administration conduct search and rescue operation, according to ANI.

Police Headquarters spokesperson IG Nilesh Anand Bharane told ANI, "A bus went out of control and fell into the Alaknanda river in Gholthir area of ​​Rudraprayag district. As per information received so far, 18 people were on board the bus."
