New Delhi, Jan. 4 -- The Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday said the recent developments in Venezuela were a matter of deep concern and that India was closely monitoring the evolving situation. New Delhi reaffirmed its support for the well-being and safety of the Venezuelan people, while urging all concerned parties to address issues peacefully through dialogue in the interest of maintaining regional peace and stability.
The MEA added that the Embassy of India in Caracas is in contact with members of the Indian community in Venezuela and will continue to extend all possible assistance as the situation unfolds.
