New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- US President Donald Trump questioned the need for the United States to spend $21 million on voter turnout efforts in India. He suggested the money was potentially used to influence elections, adding that the U.S. should address the Indian government, calling the situation a 'total breakthrough.' He was speaking at the FII PRIORITY Summit in Miami, Florida.
This follows the revelation by Elon Musk's DOGE that $21 million was allocated under USAID for "voter turnout in India," sparking a political uproar in the country.
