New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Total lunar eclipse, Blood Moon 2025: Skygazers are in for a celestial treat this month, as a total lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon or the Chandra Grahan, will light up the night sky on 7-8 September 2025.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when Earth's shadow completely covers the Moon, giving it a deep red or orange glow.
The September 7 blood moon will be visible across Asia (including India), Europe, Africa, and Australia. It will be visible to nearly 85% of the world's population, making it one of the most widely visible lunar eclipses in recent years.
