New Delhi, March 26 -- Maruti Suzuki India announced the appointment of Sunil Kakkar to the top auto giant's board as an Additional Director and Whole-Time Director. With this, Kakkar has become a homegrown Indian employee, having been nominated as a director on its board by parent Suzuki Motor Corporation.

The Board of Directors, at its meeting held on March 26, 2025, approved the appointment of Sunil Kakkar as an Additional Director and Whole-time Director designated as Director (Corporate Planning) for a period of three years with effect from April 1, 2025, up to March 31, 2028," said Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
