New Delhi, July 22 -- After a weak opening, the Indian stock market witnessed strong buying at the lower levels, and all three key benchmark indices finished with decent gains. The Nifty 50 index regained the psychological 25,000 and finished 122 points higher at 25,090. The BSE Sensex registered a 442-point gain and closed at 82,200, whereas the Bank Nifty index ended 669 points northward at 56,952. Eternal, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank emerged as the top performers in the Nifty. Conversely, Reliance, Wipro, and IndusInd Bank concluded the session as the major losers. Trading volumes on the NSE cash market were slightly lower by 3% compared to the previous session.
