Mahakumbh 2025, Jan. 29 -- Several people are feared injured in a stampede that broke out at Sangam in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj as thousands turned up for a holy dip in the Ganga on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya during the on going Mahakumbh in the wee hours of January 29.

Ambulances have been rushed to the ghat and injured persons were taken to the central hospital inside the Mela ground for treatment, according to reports. Several people injured in the stampede were rushed to the hospital, the reports said. A number of people have died in the stampede, though there was no official confirmation of the any deaths yet.
