New Delhi, March 25 -- The Home Ministry on 25 March informed that India have adopted a comprehensive and multi-pronged approach to strengthen border security and address potential challenges.

Stating more about the move, Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, said that India's new approach includes detailed vulnerability mapping, deployment of additional manpower, and the use of specialized surveillance equipment which have been installed at strategic locations.

Apart from this, Rai said that measures such as round-the-clock patrolling, anti-tunneling exercises, and installation of border floodlights and security fences ensure robust security mechanisms at international borders have been undertaken.

More to come.
