Republic Day 2025, Jan. 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished all Indians on the occasion of "75 glorious years of being a republic" in a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). PM Modi expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the Constitution and emphasised the importance of democracy, dignity, and unity for a prosperous India.

"Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity and unity," (sic) he wrote.
