Maharashtra, March 17 -- As violence erupted in Mahal area of Maharashtra's Nagpur on Monday, videos of clashes went viral on social media platforms amid Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's appealing to maintain peace.
Violence gripped several areas in central Nagpur reportedly after rumours that the holy book of the Muslim community was burnt during an agitation by a right-wing body for the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb.
At least four people were injured in the incident after protesters clashed with the police.
