New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- Mumbai is once again on alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for September 2. After days of intense showers that left several parts of the city waterlogged, the coming spell has triggered fears of another deluge. Commuters, residents and officials are bracing for impact, but the big question remains-will the city see just a downpour or another round of chaos?

The weather agency has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places in the districts of North Konkan, as well as in the ghat areas of North Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada today.
