New Delhi, Jan. 1 -- On the first day of 2026, prices of LPG cylinders were revised upward, with the increase applying only to 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders. The hike of Rs.111 per cylinder came into effect from January 1, 2026, raising costs for businesses across major cities.

Following the revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen to Rs.1,691.50, up from Rs.1,580.50. In Kolkata, prices have increased from Rs.1,684 to Rs.1,795, while in Mumbai, the cylinder now costs Rs.1,642.50, compared with Rs.1,531.50 earlier. Chennai has seen the steepest price point, with rates climbing from Rs.1,739.50 to Rs.1,849.50.
