New Delhi, Oct. 22 -- On 22 October, Wednesday, at Pramadam Stadium in Kerala, a section of the helipad surface subsided beneath the weight of the helicopter conveying President Droupadi Murmu. Emergency personnel from both the police and fire departments, who were present at the location, intervened promptly and manually manoeuvred the aircraft out of the affected area.

President Droupadi Murmu was slated to offer prayers at the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala on Wednesday.

The President, who arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening for a four-day official visit to the southern state, left for Pathanamthitta district, where the hill shrine is located, this morning.
