New Delhi, May 30 -- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Friday granted an extension of three months to budget carrier IndiGo where the company can continue with its partnership with Turkish Airlines for three more months.
In its order, the DGCA clarified that the three-month extension has been granted to IndiGo on damp leasing two Boeing 777 planes from Turkish Airlines for 'one last time'.
It said that the extension was granted to avoid passenger inconvenience that may result from direct disruption.
"However, in order to avoid passenger inconvenience due to immediate flight disruption, IndiGo has been granted a one-time last and final extension of three months," the DGCA said, according to a report by ANI.
