New Delhi, Nov. 14 -- An Indian Air Force Pilatus PC-7 trainer aircraft crashed near Tambaram in Chennai's Chengalpattu district during a routine training mission. The pilot ejected safely before the crash.
A video shared by PTI shows debris scattered on the ground while locals gathered around the site. The Indian Air Force is expected to investigate the cause of the crash.
There have been multiple Indian Air Force plane crashes this year. Three of those crashes involved Jaguar fighter jets.
On 6 February, an Indian Air Force twin-seater Mirage 2000 trainer aircraft crashed in an agricultural field. It was near Sunari village in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh during a routine training sortie.
