New Delhi, Jan. 29 -- Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the electric vehicle (EV) maker is ending production for Model S and Model X, calling it an "honorable discharge" and urging fans of the vehicles to put in an order now before stocks end, CNBC reported.
Speaking at the auto major's Q4 earnings call on 28 January, the world's richest man said that they will use the factory in Fremont (California, United States), to build the company's humanoid robots Optimus instead, it added.
"It's time to basically bring the Model S and X programs to an end with an honorable discharge. If you're interested in buying a Model S and X, now would be the time to order it," the billionaire stated.
Priced at around $95,000 and $1,00,000 for the base variant...
