New Delhi, March 7 -- The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has implemented significant budget cuts, resulting in the closure of multiple Social Security Administration (SSA) offices across the United States. According to Newsweek, 47 SSA offices have either closed or are scheduled for closure, affecting regions in the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast, and Western US.

The Southeastern US has been the most affected, with nearly half of all closures occurring in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
