New Delhi, March 16 -- US Vice President has been accused of being 'controlling' and 'demanding' of his Indian-origin wife Usha Chilukuri Vance, after a video of his remarks directed at her went viral on social media.

Speaking at an event in Michigan, JD Vance was heard praising the second lady, his wife, who stood beside him. Moments later, he remarked that she had no other choice but to laugh and smile at everything he does.

"I think she's doing a great job as second lady of the United States and I'm so proud to have her back... by my side. Here's the thing. The cameras are all on; anything I say, no matter how crazy, she has to smile, laugh, and celebrate it," Vance was heard telling a gathering that included the media.
