New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Charlie Kirk, a well-known right-wing activist, was shot dead while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10. The shooting reportedly happened around midday during an outdoor event on campus.

A bullet struck the 31-year-old in the neck, and he died soon after. Police called it a targeted attack though the motive is still unclear. Authorities briefly held two suspects but later released them.

A large search is now underway for the gunman. Local officials described the killing as a political assassination. US President Donald Trump strongly condemned the attack.
