New Delhi, July 24 -- Swaminarayan temple in Boronia, a suburb in eastern Melbourne, was vandalised with hateful and racist messages, according to a report by Australia Today on Thursday. The report said that the Shree Swaminarayan Temple on Wadhurst Drive was targeted with red-painted slurs, including one that said, "Go Home Brown C**t." Two nearby restaurants run by Asians were also defaced with the same message.
Police have launched a probe into the incident, "Police are investigating following reports of graffiti in Bayswater and Boronia on 21 July... There is absolutely no place at all in our society for hate-based and racist behaviour."
