New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- The Indian Army on Wednesday, August 13, foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The infiltration bid was foiled in Churunda area of Uri in Baramulla district of north Kashmir. The officials have said that an exchange of fire is going on.

According to the latest reports, a soldier was killed in the exchange of fire along the LoC. The operation is going on and further details are awaited, the officials added.
