New Delhi, June 16 -- Air India's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft (AI 171) from Ahmedabad to London crashed into a medical college moments after takeoff from the airport on 12 June 2025. This resulted in one of the deadliest aircraft crashes in the world, claiming the lives of 241 souls on board and many others on the ground, with only one survivor successfully escaping the scene.

The 40-year-old sole survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, walked out of the accident scene alive with injuries, while everyone else died on the spot. Videos of the accident went viral on social media platforms, with millions of people around the world commenting on it.
