New Delhi, March 16 -- "When I became Prime Minister, I especially invited Pakistan to my swearing-in ceremony so we could turn over a new leaf, yet every noble attempt at fostering peace was met with hostility and betrayal", PM Modi lamented during a podcast with renowned AI researcher and podcaster Lex Fridman.

"We sincerely hope that wisdom prevails upon them and they choose the path of peace. I believe even the people of Pakistan long for peace", PM Modi told Lex Fridman during the podcast.

The AI researcher, terming the relationship between India and Pakistan as 'difficult', asked PM Modi if he saw any path to friendship with Pakistan in the future. Fridman also labelled PM Modi as 'great peacemaker'.
