New Delhi, April 15 -- A Chinese government official critizised Donald Trump's White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt for having Chinese made lace on her outfit, pointing out the irony of pushing for "Made in America", while the practicalities are quite different.

Zhang Zhisheng, who identified himself as the current Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Denpasar, Indonesia, and former CG in Zanzibar, Tanzania, called out Leavitt for using Chinese items.

"Accusing China is business. Buying China is life. The beautiful lace on the dress was recognized by an employee of a Chinese company as its product," Zhang wrote on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
