India, June 7 -- Love coffee but worried about its long-term effects on your health? According to a study presented on Monday at the annual meeting of the American Society for Nutrition in Orlando, drinking coffee may actually offer significant health benefits.

For the study, the researchers analysed 3700 women who met the criteria of healthy ageing. It was observed that the participants consumed an average of 315 mg of caffeine per day when they were between the ages of 45 and 60. Most of their caffeine intake came from cups of coffee.
