India, March 23 -- People-pleasing behaviour in the workplace can be exhausting, especially when it stops feeling like a choice and becomes a knee-jerk reaction. Regardless of the personal discomfort, being assertive and politely saying 'No' feels difficult. Even when your internal monologue is pleading with you to set boundaries, you find yourself falling into the 'yes trap' again and again until you have too much going on, steering you to the inevitable burnout and many other health issues. This is a vicious cycle and may even compromise work-life boundaries.
