India, Sept. 16 -- Forgetfulness is common but how to know if it is the early sign of dementia? In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Pramod Krishnan, HOD and consultant, neurology, epileptology and sleep medicine, Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road Bengaluru said, "It is common for the young and old to occasionally forget unimportant bits of information. This occurs much more frequently as we age and is especially true for information that is transient and without lasting relevance. This is common in our busy schedule especially when we are juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
