India, June 8 -- The Delhi government is set to hand over the maintenance and upkeep of 11 industrial areas in the national capital to private players under public private partnership (PPP) model along the lines of the Bawana and Narela industrial areas. The initiative will be implemented under the Delhi Industrial Development, Operation and Management Act, 2010.

Delhi industries minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa told HT that the move addresses decade-long pending demands of industrial stakeholders who were ignored by previous governments.
