New Delhi, July 17 -- Delhi government's power department on Wednesday notified that the government will provide a subsidy for all solar projects at the rate of Rs.10,000 per KW, up to 3 KW per consumer, two months after the Delhi cabinet approved a hike in the subsidy. On May 20, the government approved Rs.30,000 subsidy for installing residential solar panels in Delhi. Under its solar programme, the Delhi government plans to install rooftop solar systems at 230,000 residential units over the next three years at an estimated cost of Rs.50 crore.
