India, March 27 -- Colorectal cancer, also referred to as bowel cancer, develops n the colon or rectum. It often starts as polyps, abnormal growths, which can become cancerous if not treated early. Over the past few decades, colorectal cancer has been observed to have a disturbing rise. In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr Bhavna Bansal, senior consultant and HOD, histopathology, Oncquest Laboratories said, "Recognising the signs and seeking timely medical advice can make a significant difference in early detection and treatment success.
