CAG report: AAP, CM trade barbs over Delhi's stalled growth
New Delhi, Aug. 8 -- Chief minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday accused the previous AAP government of halting Delhi's growth by slashing capital expenditure in key sectors such as health, education, and urban development.
Speaking in the Assembly, Gupta cited CAG reports tabled earlier this week and said 24 hospitals were left incomplete as spending on health fell by 50%, while education, PWD, and urban development saw cuts of up to 42%.
She alleged public money was diverted to publicity and freebies. The reports were referred to the Public Accounts Committee.
