India, Sept. 8 -- Protein is one of the most recommended nutrients to stay fit, and it is generally advised to maintain a steady protein intake according to body weight. But with so much focus on the amount of protein, let's, for once, backtrack a bit and look at the sources. The sources are primarily two: plant-based and animal-based proteins. Each set of protein sources has its own pros and cons.
