New Delhi, April 3 -- Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, led by leader of Opposition (LoP) Atishi in the Delhi Assembly, on Wednesday demanded the resignation of minister Kapil Mishra a day after a city court ordered the police to conduct further investigation into Mishra's alleged involvement in the 2020 northeast Delhi riots.
Atishi and AAP MLAs raised the issue in the assembly, demanding the BJP government sack Mishra from the cabinet. Due to the uproar, Speaker Vijender Gupta ordered marshals to evict 10 AAP MLAs from the House.
AAP leaders staged a protest near Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the complex.
