New Delhi, April 19 -- Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Friday said the Delhi government will soon deploy 1,000 water sprinklers fitted with AQI (air quality index) meters and GPS across high pollution areas in the city.

The sprinklers will be turned on when AQI touches high levels, officials said.

"The water sprinklers will focus on areas with higher AQIs so that the anti-pollution fight is more effective," Sirsa said.
