Bhubaneswar, Oct. 31 -- In a ruling reinforcing judicial discipline and hierarchy, the Orissa high court has held that any high court order which refuses to follow a Supreme Court ruling or attempts to revive a decision already set aside by the apex court is a "nullity". While dismissing a writ petition filed by the Odisha State Cooperative Bank, a bench of justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra on Tuesday said that "law declared by the Supreme Court is binding on all courts", and any deviation from it not only undermines judicial propriety but also constitutes a grave legal error.
