Bhubaneswar, Sept. 14 -- The Odisha Information Commission on Saturday barred an activist from filing Right to Information (RTI) applications before it for a year, citing "abuse of process" after he filed 61 applications seeking information from local bodies. State information commissioner Susanta Kumar Mohanty said that RTI activist Chittaranjan Sethy, a resident of Puri district, filed repetitive queries for information from Meteipur gram panchayat and the Nimapara panchayat samiti on month-wise and year-wise records of income, expenditure and development works.
